OS updates such as Windows Updates are important to optimize performance and error free operation.

Tweak as defined by broadbandinfo.com is small changes made in a computer, such as an adjustment, to try and make it function correctly or more efficiently. From the definition above you could you should now know the importance of tweaking your computer.
Yes!! Default OS Visual and configuration settings may look appealing to most of the users but many found it to be the cause of slow system performance. SP1 For Vista

Enter the Service Pack 1 for Microsoft’s Windows Vista Operating System. The long awaited updates will be arriving this March. With this, Microsoft has promised improve over reliability, security, and performance. Sadly, Microsoft will not offer the update to those Vista PCs that have been found with 'problematic' device drivers.

Some of the updates mentioned in the Microsoft TechNet website are application compatibility, reliability, performance and power consumption, and security improvements. Together in the service pack are support for new technologies and standards available today.

This is the biggest updates since it was last release in January 30th last year. I hope with this Service Pack 1 most of the flaws Vista had previously will be eliminates.

Make Your Firefox Lightning Fast

Firefox filled with lots of features and cool add-ons are the dominant web browser of today. That’s not all there is to it. With Firefox you can speed up your browsing experience by doing this simple tweak.

Note: This tweaked is only useful for broadband connection only. It won’t work with dial up connection. So for dial up user you can skip this guide for now as it will do you no good.

1. Open your Firefox browser. In the address bar, type in “about:config” and hit Return. You will notice a long list of things. Scroll down the list and look for these entries


1. Network.http.pipelining
• Set the value to true by double clicking on the entries.


2. Network.http.proxy.pipelining
• Set the value to true by double clicking on the entries


3. Network.http.pipelining.maxrequest
• Set the value to any number to a bigger number. This will determine the maximum number of request to the server at once. If you type in 30 then it will give out 30 requests at once.


2. Lastly right-click anywhere on the page and select New >> Integer. A box will come out and demand for the new preferences name. Enter the name as “nglayout.initialpaint.delay “and set its value to “0”. This will make sure Firefox act upon receives certain information.

Is the more RAM the better?

To answer the question above, we need first to understand how the memory works. RAM is basically a temporary storage of data. But why would you need a bigger RAM when it’s just for a temporary storage. Well, think of a RAM as your study desk and hard disk as your bookshelf. As you may realize both of this is important. Without the bookshelf and study desk, you can’t store your vast collection of books and study properly. The same goes for computer, without hard disk it can’t store and without a RAM it can’t execute its work. So if a RAM is the same as a desk, does that mean we need a bigger desk? Well that’s really depend on our usage. For students who refer to loads of books at a time, it would be good idea to get a bigger desk but for those who usually refer to a single book at a time it is unnecessary. Similar to a computer, those who usually uses heavy application such as 3D games, and more, needs a bigger RAM than usual because with a bigger RAM you are able to run many application simultaneously. On the other hand, for those who use it for normal uses it won’t be necessary to expand the RAM because the chances are the extra RAM won’t make much of a different to the computer performance.

Are you up for 10 Million US Dollar? Yes you read it right, 10 Million Dollar. All you need to do is develop a mobile application for Google Inc in a contest name as Android Developer Challenge. The Android Developer Challenge will award $10 million to developers who build great apps for Android.

But what is this so called Android? Well Android is a software stack for mobile devices that includes an operating system, middleware and key applications. Google requires you to develop the application on the Android platform using the Java programming language. You are free to develop all types of apps. Whether it focuses on social networking, gaming, or news and information you’ll be the judge. Be warned that Google are looking to reward innovative, useful apps that make use of Android's capabilities to deliver a better mobile experience.

The Only Note Book You Ever Need!!

Up till yesterday, I’ve been having trouble to keep track of all notes I’ve ever took. Thanks to Microsoft Office OneNote the problem is no more. OneNote is one of the software included with Microsoft Office. It helps you gather, organize, plan, and find your notes and information. It does everything a word processor can and more. The main differences between a word processor and OneNote are that OneNote is far more flexible, easier to use, efficient and the purposes serve by both softwares.

What do I mean by flexible you ask? Well for starter OneNote lets you type your notes all over the page, without any arrangement. You can scribble, doodle, write and more with it. Its like you’ve been given a blank sheet of paper and you are free to do as you like. This is because OneNote separate different notes in notes container –Observe picture on the top. What’s more is this container can be drag freely by the user. So you can always arrange things as you see fit.
With OneNote, it is easy to create bulleted list, capture images from other sources such as browser, drag and drop any file you wish to make as a link or reference and more. It also includes text recognition in pictures and clip images from the web and other programs and makes it as searchable images. Now you don’t have to bother yourself with the tedious job of print screen button, instead you can just ‘clip’ it.
One thing you should note is that OneNote is more suitable for creating personal document such as planners, and any types of notes rather than formal document like papers, letters, reports and etc.
